ST. CHARLES COUNTY– The Missouri Department of Transportation will close lanes on Interstate 64 and Interstate 70 for survey work connected to the Improve I-70 Project #2. All work is weather permitting. modot.org/node/45043

TRAFFIC ALERT 2:35 PM: Traffic on I-55 northbound from Cape Girardeau to Jefferson County is seeing increased traffic volumes post-eclipse. There are several areas of heavy congestion. Be prepared for increased traffic volumes if you're headed back north to the St. Louis area.

The southbound I-55 rest area at mile marker 110 (Fruitland) is currently closed due to full parking.

Watch out for heavy traffic on southbound I-55 from mm 191 at Arnold in Jefferson County for the next 15 miles.
