.WHO African Region is actively on the ground supporting the #KenyaFloods response.
We delivered over 12 tons of medical supplies to Kenya Red Cross, strengthening government and partner efforts.

My thoughts are with communities devastated by floods in Kenya that have affected 227 000 people.
Over 700 first responders trained by World Health Organization (WHO) have been deployed in the most affected areas. We're working closely with the government & partners in the efforts to scale up the response.

The Africa Health Workforce Investment Charter launched today in #Namibia represents our collective commitment to bolster health workforce.

Quality health care requires strong investment in health workers. It's an investment to be nurtured, not a cost to be contained.

Today, in a major step forward for public health in the African region, WHO African Region, governments & partners launched the Africa Health Workforce Investment Charter, with the strong ambition to reinforce, grow and retain the health labour force.
