Been a very slow start to the Cormorant nesting season. Only 6 nests last week but suddenly in the last 2 days the birds are arriving and displaying in earnest.

A remarkable sight this morning. Saw a Hare escape getting run over by a fast moving Transit van. At last minute it jumped straight upwards, got as high as wind screen, impetus of van took it onto roof, slid over roof, landed on road and ran off.. Evel Knieval eat ya heart out !
