6-8th grade SAGE students completed at the Kansas City Invention Convention today! We are so proud of all of them for taking a risk to create a brand-new product and pitch their ideas! Great work!

We are celebrating River, from New Mark! He is in the SAGE Spotlight for problem finding. River is follows current news and studies history to better understand the world around him, along with problems. He analyzes and synthesizes information to think about problems.

Chloe, from Antioch Spartans, is in the SAGE Spotlight for leading others as a problem finder! Chloe is not afraid to take risks trying new things and is aware of the world around her. She finds problems and quickly moves on to the problem solving.

We are celebrating Norah, a PEGS Illuminator, for being in the SAGE Spotlight! Norah excels at problem-finding! She can analyze a situation from many different angles to find issues and problems. She can expands her thinking and considers local and global issues.

Ambrose, Nashua ES, is in the SAGE Spotlight for problem finding! Ambrose recognizes where issues exist and brainstorms creative solutions. He has an observant nature and is able to pinpoint small adjustments in projects that make a big difference.

Eli, from Topping Elementary, is an excellent problem-finder and problem-solver. He can find a problem, consider it from different perspectives, and think of multiple solutions!

Amber Noll from Mid-Continent Public Library @MCPMLO visited Middle School SAGE Advanced Graphic Design & Photo students to share her experience working as a graphic designer and gave feedback to students on their design work.

We enjoyed hosting Office of Sen. Lauren Arthur at the NIC today! Her insights into Missouri's legislative process were inspiring and engaging, and we loved showcasing our program!

Willow, New Mark , shows outstanding Observation Skills.  Willow is able to capture information from the surrounding environment throughout the creation process and often links connections from the world to personal ideas. Willow's work is creative, original and detailed.

Olivia, Gateway6NKC, makes careful and detailed observations. In Zoology, she was very thorough in observing the invertebrates and recording their behavior. In Imagineering, her theme park design was multi-layered, with both educational content and a creative design.

Jordan, from nv_panthers, is a champion at making observations, sharing his thinking, and altering his thinking based upon what he has observed. His curiosity drives him to explore innovative ideas, and he connects them to his personal experiences.

Marlowe, from nv_panthers, is in the SAGE Spotlight! Marlowe is incredibly observant and curious. She has a strong attention to detail, and she is frequently making observations and connections. She uses her observations to improve her work and to design new creative projects.

Piper, from BellPrairie Mustang, jumped right in at SAGE and is a leader in the competency of observation. She observes her surroundings and thinks carefully before speaking or acting. Piper’s observation skills enhance her empathy, creativity, and networking skills.
