As the holy month of Ramadan nears it’s end, I had the privilege of attending the 16th annual Iftar Dinner at Jamia Muhammadia Rizvia mosque in the confines of NYPD 66th Precinct

We thank you for your partnership, and I hope all who observe had a spiritual and tranquil Ramadan.

Yesterday, I joined Chasdei Lev at their annual Passover distribution for teachers and rebbeim families. Thank you to this tremendous organization and their volunteers for giving back to our community.

I had the pleasure of attending the annual COJO Flatbush breakfast. COJO is an extraordinary organization that works tirelessly to improve the lives of the people in our community.

Today’s honorees exemplify the true definition of leadership and service to a greater cause.

On Friday we gathered at the NYPD 70th Precinct to honor the life and legacy of Police Officer Dave Guevara. Officer Guevara sadly passed away 7 years ago due to 9/11 related illnesses.

We continue our commitment to honor and remember those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

We value our partnership with CH Shomrim who work hand in hand with the officers of NYPD 71st Precinct

Their dedication, bravery, and service help to make Crown Heights a safer community! Thank you 🤝

Last week I joined NYPD 70th Precinct and NYPD Community Affairs at their anti-gun violence initiative! They graciously hosted a cooking class for teens.

Together we learned about nutrition, making healthy meals, and the value of fostering bonds and relationships in the community!

March was National Colorectal Cancer Awareness month 🎗️

It was an honor to attend last week’s educational event hosted by NYPD Community Affairs and our very own Detective Roxanne Joseph who is a survivor of this debilitating disease. Together, we can spread awareness and save lives!

Arm in arm, patch to patch, together as one family, we gathered today in Long Island to give our final salute to Detective 1st Grade Diller. Detective Diller made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting New Yorkers. Today, & always, we promise to keep our vow - We Will Never Forget.

Tonight this city lost a hero, a wife lost her husband, and a young child lost their father.

We struggle to find the words to express the tragedy of losing one of our own. The work that Police Officer Jonathan Diller did each day to make this city a safer place will NEVER be…

We mourn the loss of hero Police Officer Jonathan Diller, who epitomized what it meant to be a New York City Police Officer. We will never forget his bravery, commitment, and sacrifice to the great city he loved protecting. We will keep him and his family in our prayers.

Congratulations to retired Chief Sal Carcaterra on receiving the Chief Joseph Esposito Leadership Award, presented by Ben-Bay Kiwanis Club at their St. Pats - St. Joe’s NYPD Appreciation Celebration.

Listening to the stories of New Yorkers on the subway has been truly inspiring. We listened closely while ensuring rider safety, creating a space where voices can be heard. Each tale shared is a reminder of the resilience & diversity that make our city so special. Thank you NY!

Ensuring safety every day is our top priority. Together, we can strive for a safe and secure subway system.

It was a pleasure to meet this group of college students from France, here on a conference, traveling from Manhattan on the subway.

The subway is the lifeline of New York! Today is not only about ensuring the safety of our subways but also about listening to New Yorkers. It gives me the opportunity to hear about the city everyday concerns that community members have.
