As the holy month of Ramadan nears it’s end, I had the privilege of attending the 16th annual Iftar Dinner at Jamia Muhammadia Rizvia mosque in the confines of NYPD 66th Precinct

I had the pleasure of attending the annual COJO Flatbush breakfast. COJO is an extraordinary organization that works tirelessly to improve the lives of the people in our community.
Today’s honorees exemplify the true definition of leadership and service to a greater cause.
On Friday we gathered at the NYPD 70th Precinct to honor the life and legacy of Police Officer Dave Guevara. Officer Guevara sadly passed away 7 years ago due to 9/11 related illnesses.
We continue our commitment to honor and remember those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
We value our partnership with CH Shomrim who work hand in hand with the officers of NYPD 71st Precinct

Last week I joined NYPD 70th Precinct and NYPD Community Affairs at their anti-gun violence initiative! They graciously hosted a cooking class for teens.
Together we learned about nutrition, making healthy meals, and the value of fostering bonds and relationships in the community!
March was National Colorectal Cancer Awareness month 🎗️
It was an honor to attend last week’s educational event hosted by NYPD Community Affairs and our very own Detective Roxanne Joseph who is a survivor of this debilitating disease. Together, we can spread awareness and save lives!
