Our session today introduced Y6 Sycamore Class, Necton C of E Primary School g1 to using knives. Just getting used to the safety aspects and feel of a knife as they cleaned their sticks. Ready for next weeks cooking on the fire.
Such a wonderful moment in our session today. Y6 Sycamore Class, Necton C of E Primary School worked together through a series of ideas to extend a trench and build a bridge. It took good communication, a few mistakes and perseverance, but the pride and happiness was so great to share in.
YR Elm Class, Necton CofE Primary School,explored the mud kitchen, made friends with minibeasts, created coloured potions, climbed, laughed, shared, chilled in the hammock, swung on the swings. So much development going on- all in one afternoon.
On Wednesday this week Y6 Sycamore Class, Necton C of E Primary School group 2 enjoyed trying out the palm drills for crafting and designing a wood badge. Great laughter in the mud kitchen with various creations and a big nod to the perseverance of building a shelter.
Loved the first session with YR Elm Class, Necton CofE Primary School this week, they created some great birds nests, did bird song dances and worked together on mud creations.
Y6 Sycamore Class, Necton C of E Primary School group 1 threw themselves into various activities this week. Wonderful teamwork and creative idea to build a restaurant with a water and food system, we even had a grand opening. Some tried the palm drills and hammers for some crafting.
A fantastic afternoon in the Forest area today with Y5 Cherry Tree, Necton C of E Primary School. Hands on Saxon/Viking experiments, longboat building, shelter construction and cooking on the fire. Teamwork, creative thinking and enthusiasm, just a joy to be part of.
Time for Y6 Sycamore Class, Necton C of E Primary School group 2 today. They were super excited to experience the sensory feel of MUD!!, loads on faces and hands, different consistencies were made to see which ones felt best and stayed on. Laughter filled the forest, a joy to be a part of.
A wonderful start to Y6 Sycamore Class, Necton C of E Primary School sessions. Yes it was windy and raining but that didn't stop them. So great to be with these guys and watch how they created and collaborated. Cannot wait to continue this journey with them.
Good Friday is the day when Christians remember the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
Today, many congregations will take part in a Walk of Witness through their local streets, in remembrance of Jesus' walk with his cross through Jerusalem.
