Added to the memorial wall are the names of Deputy Billy Ihrig and Deputy Terrance Bateman in Washington DC. Deputy Ihrig’s End of Watch (EOW) was October 28,2021, and Deputy Bateman’s EOW was January 15, 2022.

We are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Names of Officers killed in the line of duty are engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and read aloud during a vigil.
Two Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies were added to that wall; Deputy Terrance Bateman and Deputy Billy Ihrig.

As we begin Police Memorial Week our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of Euclid Police Officer Jacob Derbin. The officer was killed last Saturday on the job during a weekend shooting.

Agencies across the state came together for a caravan ride throughout central Ohio. Light Ohio Blue’s caravan ended at the Scioto River in Downtown Columbus.

Light Ohio Blue continues until May 18th.
