Wishing the best possible Passover to all those celebrating, and may the freedom we commemorate be enjoyed by everyone, everywhere.

Was listening to earlier & my heart went out to the first caller Miriam who was known as number 1061 in the institution she grew up in. Her children should be so proud of her. A plaque will be unveiled in Kerry in honour of all who spent time in homes.

14 years ago today I had the first surgery of many which gave me a better and more comfortable life. I can still remember that day like it was yesterday, I had the first spinal surgery to fix my scoliosis a month later, I have never forgotten what I went through with those

Even now, in the middle of the worst moment since 1948, there are Palestinians and Israelis working to forge a future together. Because there's no other future. Any word or action that helps these people move forward is good. Anything that makes their work harder is bad.

I found this photo just now. One of my great memories of Brendan Kennelly was the day Michael our son and I took Brendan to Buswells Hotel for a cup of tea. He recited his new poem Raglan Lane and then sang it for us to the air of 'Dawning of the Day.' ⁦Trinity College Dublin⁩ ⁦@

Alanna Quinn was hit in the face with the saddle of an electric scooter during an attack by 4 youths on her and a friend on the Ballyfermot Rd in December 2021. She lost an eye. She has just been fitted with a prosthetic eye & she is overjoyed.

Let me tell you a story about this picture and why I think it represents so much of who I am.

This is me, jumping off a 4m high platform into the sea. A group of men had been stood on the platform for over half an hour daring each other to do it. None of them dared, they all

This, by Yuval Noah Harari, is masterful. It gives me no satisfaction - only grief - to add that I’ve been saying all this since 10/10, but he says it much better. Enough. haaretz.com/israel-news/20…

This was really disappointing for them since some people queue for 2 hours and sometimes only reach the front of the queue at 8.30pm. We do try to help where we can. Whilst people are standing in the queue, we hand out crisps, pastries, drinks, and fruits

Insane that this needs to be said. There’s nothing wrong with Muslims (or anyone else) praying peacefully in public. Nothing. Live and let live.

Being lectured on child protection, child abuse and patriotism by trolls with zero knowledge of relatively recent Irish history is almost amusing.

I don’t recall any of them standing with me and others as we challenged church and state over recent decades.

Funny that.

The most deprived areas in the country also have the highest levels of health inequality. Yet our privileged Prime Minister spews this rhetoric. How depressing
