It beggars belief that the FA and Premier League decided to scrap replays in Rounds 1 & 2 of the FA Cup when Premier League clubs don’t enter the competition until Round 3.

Really disappointed that my club hasn’t released a statement saying that they are against the recent decision from the FA to scrap #FACup replays… #LOFC

The 'need' to scrap replays in the first and second round is particularly mean: so an Isthmian Premier side that draws 1-1 against, say, Bolton or Derby is pointlessly denied a payday because Premier League clubs fixture overcrowding, or something.

No FA Cup Replays, Poor decision had so many great experiences playing at premier league grounds because of them. It’s what lower league footballers/clubs/fans dream of doing, taking that and money lower league clubs can make from it to sustain and operate and improve their clubs

RIP Replays. Another part of the game's great heritage sacrificed for the elite. A famous chapter of the #FACup scrapbook consigned to the scrapyard. Sad but inevitable. #UCL expanding and the show-me-the-money top clubs don't value the Cup as much, though many of their fans do.
