To blend with others I see;

The cost, alas, of fish and chips ain’t what it ought to be.
Leave the ‘taters in the ground, the fish leave in the sea;

As £12 each for fish 'n' chips is beyond the likes of me. 👍

Today is Friday, but not just any old Friday, today is the end of an era. 😥

Today is my last Chippy Friday. It’s too expensive. Fish Chips n peas (twice) costs fully one third of our weekly food budget. After all these years, another working class pleasure bites the dust. 😞

Young northerners give me hope for the future. 😁👍

Neither had I until this mornin'. When I drew the curtains I exclaimed 'It's Sunny - Yay!' 😃

Mrs A replied: 'It goes straight from a boot day to a sandals day... There are no shoe days anymore.'😕

I'm baffled. 🥴😁

If watching someone work hard makes me tired, then hopefully watching these kids run about will warm me up. 😁

Apart from the couple of areas of paint loss, most noticeable to me is the use of a heavily muted palette. It conveys the often dull and damp climate of Bolton perfectly. 👍

I took this photo the other day. My main interest was the dilapidated pub. What a great house it would make

Then I noticed the fella and wondered about him. Was he an ex customer do you think? He looked quite lost for a while. I’d love to know his story.
