We have confirmed with state officials that low & moderate risk winter sports may begin play on Nov. 30. We continue to examine opportunities for high-risk sports to be played with strict risk minimization efforts in place. At this time, high-risk sports are not authorized.

As we prepare for the fall sports season, NYSPHSAA is working on a comprehensive guidance document in response to recently released @NYSDOH guidelines. It is our goal to provide assistance for schools who are able to offer athletics. Distributing document by Friday afternoon.

The NYSPHSAA will work this weekend to produce a return-to-play document for New York members schools that will outline what sports must look like this fall — if schools and sections decide to play.
