I am beating the drum that Youth Volleyball Nationals needs to be played significantly earlier. The kids go full force from Jan-April, just to pause most tourneys for about 6-7 weeks before Nationals. (A 🧵)

#pdchitownclassic Ella Cole, big MB for Club 1 16 Royal. Impossible to go through her block so might want to roll around it. She is strong and has great timing and jumping ability. So fun to watch!

#pdchitownclassic Hanna Turner, libero for Club 1 16 Royal. This athlete is like a sweeper, low to the ground, picks everything up, and is impactful due to her vigilance. She isn’t letting anything by her.

#pdchitownclassic Riley Trefny is a six-rotation player for Club 1 16 Royal. She is very athletic & can dig as well as she hits. So many skills! Has a great platform, a big vertical, and great control when she sets other hitters. She must be a very valuable part of her team.

#pdchitownclassic Lily Mayer, middle blocker for Belusa United 16 Ice. She is hard-hitting, very strong, and a massive blocker. Helped get her team in third set to 15 against VVVBC 16-Purple. Down one at the moment.
