All Queensland households will now get $1,300 off their power bills next financial year.

The Albanese Labor Government have topped up our $1,000 rebate with another $300 for every household to deliver even more cost of living relief.

Our main priorities are:
Helping with the cost of living, building more homes for Australians, investing in a Future Made in Australia
and the skills and universities we’ll need to make it a reality, strengthening Medicare & the care economy, and responsible economic management.

This Budget is designed to deliver for every Australian, in every part of our economy, and every part of our country.

We’re building more homes for Queenslanders.

Today we turned the sod on an old run-down unit complex which will be transformed into thirty new social homes right here in Miami.

It’s all part of our Homes for Queenslanders plan which will deliver 53,500 social homes.

We’re funding 20,000 extra Fee-Free TAFE and VET construction places in next week’s budget.

It will mean more skilled workers in the construction and housing workforce.

And more homes getting built.
