Ilana Horn The problem is, you can only teach/do what is possible. I hope teachers making this kind of temporary shift will remind themselves that the lessons they are REALLY teaching are more important: lessons about doing what is doable, giving yourself grace. Students see that & value it
Good point! This speaks to what ๐ฃ Dr. Laurie Rubel ๐๏ธ was saying in her thread--what kind of maths we should be showcasing. We need to keep interrogating forms/uses of maths and what they say about not only who maths is by/for but also what constitutes maths and its purpose in our world
