To improve health outcomes of people, THE UGANDA CCM FOR THE GLOBAL FUND. conducted a site visit to the Uganda Blood Transfusion Service (UBTS), one of the entities that can benefit from Global Fund because of the anaemic effects of Malaria. The UBTS also introduced NAT, a tech used to detect #HIV sooner from the blood collected.

I agree. The GNP+ Stigma Index report shows 84% of #PLHIV experienced internal stigma & this affected their uptake & adherence. Look out for work by Beyond Stigma who we collaborate with to address this. Sometimes we have to go inward!

'AVAC's ED Mitchell Warren, discussed with pharmaboardroom on how to accelerate the development of new #HIV technologies like vaccines, #PrEP , and male circumcision. The conversation also focused on ensuring these advancements reach people.

The main challenge young people living with HIV in my generation face is depression. An issue that needs urgent attention if we want quality life for young people. Unfortunately, no attention is given. There’s need for integration of mental health into HIV services. Florence Riako Anam

It’s easy to focus on already developed #HIV Px products. Lessons from #PrEP indicate there’s need for community involvement right from product initiation and research to increase uptake. YWHPC ensures that young #women ’s voices are incorporated in the whole process.
