No 149 - Rob Jones. Towering central defender Jones signed permanently for #swfc in May 2011 after a short loan from Scunthorpe. He played 45 games and scored 5 goals and was club captain in our 2012 promotion season. He was allowed to join Doncaster on a free after 1 season

No 148 - Steve Harkness. Signed for #swfc for £200k from Blackburn in Sept 2000 at the twilight of his career. The defender scored one goal in 32 games before being released in Nov 2002. He had previously played for Liverpool, Huddersfield, Southend, Carlisle and Benfica

No 147 - Steve Nicol. 27 cap Scottish right back signed for #swfc in 1996 from Notts County, who he joined after a long spell at Liverpool. He played 54 games before joining Doncaster after a loan spell with West Brom. He managed in the USA with New England Revolution until 2011

No 146 - Earl Barrett. 3 times capped Man City trainee ended his career at #swfc with 16 appearances between 1998 and 2000, following a career that had taken in transfers to Oldham, Everton, Aston Villa and loans with Chester and our neighbours.

No 145 - Klas Ingesson. 57 cap Swedish international midfielder Ingesson signed for £800k from Bari in 1994. He only played 21 #swfc games, scoring twice before joining PSV Eindhoven. The ex-Lecce, Marseille, Bologna, Mechelen and IFK Goteburg man sadly passed away in 2014.

No 143 - Imre Varadi - The striker had two spells at #swfc after joining from Newcastle. In his two spells, separated by West Brom and Man City, he scored 46 goals in 121 games. He ended his 2nd spell joining Leeds in 1990. His career ended in 1997 at South Jersey Barons, USA.

No 142 - Akpo Sodje. The striker was signed from Port Vale Aug 07. Able to put in some strong displays when fit he sadly was beset by injuries and played just 44 #swfc games, scoring 9 before release in 2010. He finished his career on loan at Macclesfield from Tranmere in 2014

No 141 - Callum Mcmanaman. callum mcmanaman played 12 games on loan at #swfc from West Brom in 2017 to assist in our play off push. The winger barely started a game under Carlos. Beginning his career at Wigan he also represented Blackpool, Sunderland and Luton in England.

No 140 - Mick Prendergast. The Mexborough born striker made his #swfc debut in 1969 and went on to score 53 in 183 league games for the owls. Sadly he struggled with injuries and was transferred to Barnsley in 1978, but lasted just 1 season. He sadly died in 2010 aged just 59.

No 139 - Larry May. Beginning his career at Leicester in 1976, May joined #swfc towards the end of his career for the 1987/88 season. Signed from Barnsley but in 31 appearances he didn’t impress at the owls and joined Brighton in 1988.

No 830 - Graham Kavanagh. The experienced Rep. of Ireland international had two loan spells with #SWFC in 2008 and 2009. The former Middlesbrough, Stoke, Cardiff, Wigan and Sunderland midfielder score 2 goals in 24 games across both spells, before ending his career at Carlisle.

No 829 - Saido Berahino. Brought in by Darren Moore from Zulte Waregem in 2021 to boost our promotion push the former West Brom, Northampton, Brentford, Peterborough and Stoke forward would score 9 #SWFC goals in 36 games before being released at the end of the season.

No 828 - Jake Kean. A perennial back up keeper who had played for Derby, Blackburn, Hartlepool, Rochdale, Yeovil, Oldham, Colchester and Swindon before joining #SWFC on a free from Norwich in 2016. After zero appearances and loans to Grimsby and Mansfield he was released in 2018

No 827 - Tom Soares. Midfielder who began his career with Crystal Palace. After a £1.25M move to Stoke he went out on loan to Charlton then #SWFC 2009/10. He scored twice for us in 25 games. He later played for Hibernian, Bury, AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage.

No 826 - Lewis Buxton. Joining #SWFC initially on loan from Stoke in 2008, the former Portsmouth, Exeter and Bournemouth fullback soon joined permanently. He went on to play 206 games, scoring six goals,before joining Rotherham in 2015.

No 825 - Bruce Grobbelar. Born in South Africa and winning 32 caps for Zimbabwe the highly decorated former Liverpool, Stoke, Crewe, Southampton and Plymouth (amongst others) goalkeeper joined #swfc as an emergency keeper in 1997 but never played.

No 824 - Dylan Kerr. Born in Malta but coming up through the #SWFC ranks he failed to break into the first team but went on to play for clubs including Arcadia Shepherds, Leeds, Doncaster, Blackpool, Reading, Carlisle and Kilmarnock before managing in South Africa.

No 823 - Wilf Rostron. A left winger turned left back began his career at Arsenal. He arrived at #SWFC via more than a decade with Sunderland and Watford. After just 7 games without scoring 0 he moved to our neighbours before ending his career at Brentford.

No 822 - Claude Dielna. A French defender who joined #SWFC from Olympiacos in 2014, following loans to Sedan and Ajaccio. His only goal in 27 games was a last minute winner at Blackburn. After loans to Slovak Bratislava and Dinamo Bucharest he left on a free in 2017.

#ManagersSpecial No 24. Ron Atkinson. A highly experienced manager who took charge of #SWFC over two spells. First from 1989-91 where he won promotion and the League Cup in 1991 and secondly in 1997/98 where he kept us in the premier league. Big Ron remains popular to this day.
