If there’s one thing I learned as an assistant and then PM at UMG, it’s that the problems being discussed at the c-suite level could not be further from the day-to-day problems of employees “in the trenches”

Until that gap closes, labels won’t be able to optimize business

A LOT of fan arguements are rooted in a fundamental misunderstanding of how music biz works.
