Any Irish physios that got their degree in the UK know how long the CORU recognition will take? Or should I be dreading the process already😅😅

Had a great day on Friday at the Physiotherapy Research Society (PRS) conference! I was lucky enough to receive a student bursary to attend and showcase my research.

I really enjoyed meeting other students and researchers! therapyresearch

Hi! Last week our favourite right wing rag, the Daily Mail Online , wrote a front page exclusive hit piece on me.

Why me? Er… well no ones really sure. I’m not a doctor. I wasn’t on strike.

No doubt it was designed to keep me quiet. No chance. Let’s hit piece the hit piece. 🎯 🧵.

'Access courses can feel like charity ‘Look at what we are doing to save some of these poor kids from this awful life, they should be grateful.’ but I am clever & capable & I succeeded...in spite of a system that militates against people like me.”

Amazing opportunity for students to travel and study abroad but unfortunately shows another hindrance for young people in Ireland- no opportunities/ nothing in place to make third level more accessible 😢

4k Chartered Society of Physiotherapy physiotherapists are striking today. They were there during Covid drafted onto ICU wards to prone patients. They ensure people recover faster and get back to their life sooner. They keep patients out of hospital. People like me don't write nearly enough about them.

I've unfortunately spent 12 hours today in an A&E corridor with my mum, thankfully all OK & we'll be out of here soon. But Rishi Sunak the conditions we witnessed today are utterly unacceptable. The picture shows the corridor lined with chairs and dotted around are these hooks...

Here’s the Chest X-Ray of a young boy with a condition that is now the leading cause of death in children and adolescents in the U.S.

What’s the diagnosis?
