Gesture politics and uncritical thought. Deeply unserious and laughable. Simplistic takes on complex issues. All views are terrible

Are you heading to the Nazi gig in Bootle this weekend?

For those out of the loop, this is a secretive event billed as the “Birthday Bash” of organiser Chad Charles.

But if the pressure group HOPE not hate is to be believed, Charles is a prominent Nazi gig promoter.

This is just completely irresponsible and downright exploitative and for those reasons I will absolutely be tuning in.

The two party oligarchy continues to play pantomime while millions of people who are desperate for practical and material change continue to plummet through the cracks of this broken system.

Calls for a General Election can’t fix this. It’s all well and truly fucked.

The Kombatants, a Swedish far right band, is flying into Liverpool to play at Chad Charles’ gig in Bootle on Saturday, according to Swedish antifascists. Their presence is further proof that Chad’s birthday party is little more than a nazi jamboree. HOPE not hate 1/5

I often wonder if the lads doing double figures in jail due to Encro had their time back, would they have put their ego to one side and got a job in the Tesco instead?

Same goes for 95% of telly/film/theatre. Are actors from Liverpool scarce? Are casting directors reluctant to use Liverpool actors?

I get it, it’s acting. They’re just playing a role but it would add some much needed authenticity if they used actors with real accents though.

Does anyone else massively overthink wearing sunglasses? Like, it’s the most normal thing in the world to do, and yet I feel so self-conscious about it. As if people are thinking ‘Look at him, trying to be cool, wearing sunglasses. As if he’s a pop star or something’

Really poor turnout numbers for the Liverpool City Region Mayoral election, with just 23.7% (272,721) people taking part across the entire city region - not exactly a ringing endorsement for the role and its powers
