On August 4, 1914, Britain entered the #FirstWorldWar , and the Dominion of Newfoundland was thrust into the conflict. Over 12,000 Newfoundlanders served in various roles on land and at sea.

Touched down in France with the Canadian delegation.

In World War I, Newfoundland sent its sons here to fight. Many fell, with no marked grave. No body for their families to mourn.

Now, we get to bring one of those Unknown Newfoundland Soldiers - one of our sons - home.
