Some sad beer news from Seattle: The Northwest's oldest independently owned brewery is closing its doors for good. Following the retirement of founder Mike Hale in December, Hale's Ales will pour its final pints on April 9 after nearly 39 years in business. #wabeer

Doesn't get much better than these 2 SingleHillBrewing freshies. Energy Cone won gold GABF and #yakimafreshhopfest , but the Super Deli Mart collab is a gem of a West Coast IPA. Both are outstanding.

Wow, the Seattle Mariners have signed a lease for the former Pyramid Brewing location on 1st Avenue South. When it reopens next summer, it will include 'Steelheads Alley,' named for the 1946 Seattle Negro League team and run by Washington's first black-owned brewery, Métier Brewing Company.
