I’m sad to leave my baby project after 9 years, but it feels good to hand over a well established festival to the next generation of organisers 💔♥️

Our people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act for artwork depicting a universally recognised symbol of peace at UCL's protest camp. This is an outrageous escalation of politically motivated state repression against peace activists. We demand their immediate release!

Inspired ‘Dig Where You Stand’, this event is focused on using your own life as a starting point for research - Which aspect of your daily life is underrepresented or under researched? What would you like to see in museums, in public libraries and monuments?

What are the political possibilities of poems? Can poems build solidarity? Should poems be useful, and what does a useful poem sound like?

This session will explore miners’ poetry written during the 1984-5 strike. Bring a poem or a theme to discuss, if you have one!
