MAUVE survey astronomers Dr. Adam Watts, Barbara Catinella & Luca Cortese have used ESO's VLT to map the gas streaming from nearby galaxy NGC 4383, showing how the space between galaxies fills with elements - and giving clues to why star formation stops. icrar.org/outflows/
Graduations are always special events🎇 Even more so when you get to celebrate with people you have worked closely with for many years. Congratulations Dr Kumar aka Jayender Kumar

First interferometric fringes to the AuScope VLBI Yarragadee 12m antenna at 6.7 GHz! What does that mean? Great opportunities and capability for geodesy and astronomy. Thanks to Brett, Jamie, Lucas, Warren, Lucia, Jim, Mark and many, many others
Congratulations Andrew (aacole42..bsky.social), Stas (@blackholejets) and JP. Persistence and resilience as well as inspiring and impactful science 🌃
Location, location, location - just as important in spacecraft tracking as realestate. Awesome work again by the University of Tasmania Space team. The important moments happened with the spacecraft pretty low in the sky from Hobart, but beautiful clear images and telemetry.
This antenna was constructed in the University of Tasmania physics workshop about 40 years ago. It was the first large parabolic antenna we operated and despite its modest size it has collected the data for nature papers. I'm looking forward to having it back in regular action again soon
Congratulations to the That's What I Call Science 🎙 team. Well deserved recognition of the amazing work that they do in raising the profile of a more diverse range of science stories and the people behind them. Big shout out in particular to Dr Niamh Chapman ☘️ for her tireless work and enthusiasm.
Finally had the opportunity to visit the Australian Space Agency Space discovery center in Adelaide last week. Great exhibits. Thanks to Darcey Watson and the The Andy Thomas Space Foundation for your hospitality and great discussions
