I hope this week shows people of good faith all along the spectrum that (1) principled nonviolent protest can achieve policy change, and (2) the person at whom the protest is aimed really, really matters.

Lots of stuff looks bleak, but this is just simple math: if we hold our senate incumbents and pick up just Gallego in Arizona, we’ve got the votes to reform the filibuster, pass democracy reform, and codify reproductive rights next year.

Alito says Presidents need immunity so they *won’t* try to stay in office, for fear of charges when they leave. Crazy enough. But Trump’s argument is that Presidents have actually always had immunity—and he tried to stay in office anyway. Now imagine if SCOTUS rubber stamps it.

Now square it w/ Brnovich, which added heightened, nowhere-in-text factors to prove vote discrimination under the VRA. TLDR you can't.
