I was invited to see the facilities at Willowbrook Hospice - a lovely, calming space for patients & their families.

The design & modifications have been carried out to the highest spec and the gardens are beautiful! Thanks to volunteers, staff and trustees for all you do for residents👏

It was great to join the fearless children at the Deafness Resource Centre for their half term activity of a mobile animal zoo!

Thanks to Ryan & Amelia for bringing along Boris the cheeky parrot, guinea pig, rabbit, chicken, hedgehog, lizards, skunk & more for everyone to see, hold & stroke

Year 1 pupils from 18 primary schools have been involved in reading the nominated books. It was great to join the children & author Dan Worsley, who entertained us all with his storytelling skills.

Last week was citizenship ceremony number 11 where we welcomed 15 new citizens from 11 different countries!

Our new citizens came from Poland, Brazil, Hungary, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Syrian Arab Republic, India, Philippines and Portugal - welcome everyone 🇬🇧

An honour to present local historian & author, Sue Gerrard, with Mayor's Award for community spirit, commitment & passion for St Helens alongside her partner Rob👏

We talked about her life, work & travels - she's attended many Mayoral events & it's always a pleasure to catch up!

Following the fantastic 'Mayor's Question of Sport' event held at St.Helens R.F.C.'s - we raised an amazing sum of £5,289 for the Deafness Resource Centre👏

Thanks again to everyone involved - it's a big boost to my Mayor's Charity Appeal and much appreciated!

The Golborne Mining Disaster took place on 18th March 1979 - I attended the 45th Anniversary service & procession with the Mayor of Wigan and colleagues.

An emotional day that brought the Golborne community together to remember that fateful day when 10 miners lost their lives

An honour to welcome Merseyside's Lord Lieutenant to a wonderful ceremony for the presentation of the King's Award for Voluntary Service to Rotary St Helens.
