A motion was made by council member Kenny Sholl, of McCallie, to table the topic until the December council meeting to allow for more discussion and have a better understanding of how it will impact the schools before taking a vote on the residence rule. That motion passes

Discussion now is residence rule - which could impact boarding schools (Baylor, McCallie, etc.). Rewording the bylaws could mean all students (international or domestic) who change schools after enrolling in the 9th grade would be ineligible if they aren't living with a guardian

TSSAA executive director Mark Reeves recommends to not take action today on the transfer rule. No vote needed, so things remains as they have been concerning the transfer rule (for now).
