Green alkanet, a weed? Not in (literally) my book. Not 'weedy' enough & too sensitive to 'pressure'. It makes good compost once flowering is done, being transferred by spade to the compost bin. Smaller ones will remain to support wildlife next year.

Seems to be that some people are interested in languages but not in plants. To me each is as much about communication and understanding as the other.

Another sunny gardening session. We planted a few seeds outside but mainly we turned compost, delighted in worms and millipedes, spread another layer on our no-dig beds

Taking softwood cuttings is one of the easiest ways to create more plants. The best time to take softwood cuttings is in spring when growing tips are soft, flexible and actively growing. This means they will grow new roots easily.
