Conserving Taiwan's Formosan Black Bear​

On January 9, 2024, the YSNPH signed the “Formosan Black Bear Rescue and Rehabilitation Cooperation Memorandum” with WildOneTaiwan at the Nan'an Visitor Center, promoting cooperation in the conservation and rescue of Formosan black bears.

In the face of Chinese military drills, Amb Hsu, in an interview with ABC News, emphasises Taiwan’s firm commitment to maintaining the status quo, conducting independent foreign policies, and extending an olive branch to Beijing to express our willingness to dialogues.

Chatime in Australia​

Chatime is a Taiwanese global franchise teahouse chain based in Zhubei. Chatime entered the Australian market around 2010 and now has 169 outlets, with plans to expand to 250 stores by 2025.

Ambassador Hsu met with Mr. Ashley Mangano, VP of Nhoa Energy, in Perth to discuss energy storage opportunities. They covered Taiwan Cement Corporation-NHOA partnerships, NHOA’s operations in Australia and Taiwan, and future collaboration in building power systems in WA.

Today we met with Chairman Lee, Vice-Chair Chen, and senior leadership of the Central Election Commission of #Taiwan to discuss experiences in countering #disinformation , the referendum process, and prospects for #AI use in #elections , with caution and maintaining voters' trust.

Ambassador Hsu had the pleasure of meeting Lord Mayor of Perth Basil Zempilas. They discussed the vibrant exchanges between Taiwan and Perth in trade, education, and tourism, and celebrated the 25 years of friendship between the two sister cities Taipei and Perth since 1999.
