Our coach, our colleague, our friend Carl Iwasaki passed away last night.

Jackie Robinson said:
'A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.'

If this is true, then Coach Iwa led a very important life.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Lou, and his family.

Devastating news. Coach Carl was such an advocate for people to get out of their comfort zone, knowing he would be right there to support. Northern Colorado baseball lost a pillar. We all lost a great friend. Condolences to his family, we loved Carl.

This man taught me to treat everyone the same. Outstanding human and the game will miss him. Be strong upstairs my friend.

Carl Iwasaki was an incredible man and mentor! “Iwa” opened the doors of opportunity to so many players and coaches, wanting to fulfill their dreams. My wife and I were fortunate to spend seven seasons with Carl and Shelley. I am forever grateful.
