Good to see situation on the ground and understand what’s happening at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Discussed safe passage for British Nationals, and those who have worked with UK in Afghanistan.

Pakistan is a vital partner for the UK, and today Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and I discussed how to ensure safe passage out of Afghanistan and the importance of a co-ordinated international response.

The UK 🇬🇧 and Pakistan 🇵🇰 will continue to work closely together on this.

Prime Minister Imran Khan Imran Khan and I discussed how we’ll work together to support the people of Afghanistan.

The international community will judge the Taliban by actions not words.

I have held meetings with key partners in Qatar and Pakistan to support the people of Afghanistan, prevent it from becoming a safe haven for terrorists & respond to the humanitarian situation and safeguard regional stability.

This has been an operation of unprecedented pace and scale. Thank you for everyone who has contributed to the amazing effort.
