“You will have a life beyond what Govt statistics laid out for you because you matter.” You do matter & have so much to offer.

BAFTA That was a lovely speech from Samantha Morton. I can't recommend highly enough the semi-autobiographical film she refers to here, 'The Unloved' (2009), and which she directed. It's about her time growing up in children's homes in Nottingham and is both unique and unforgettable.

Two years ago today, a group of care-experienced people took the #KeepCaringto18 petition to Downing Street.

The timeline of events since then is too depressing to note in full; the gov continues to turn its back on 16-17 year olds in care.

But for now I’m remembering the 10k

Christmas as a care leaver is tough. This time of year, we are reminded of the trauma of broken early life bonds. To see this further compounded is tough. Young people I care for not given a 'place' at a Christmas dinner. These kids have had enough let downs for one lifetime #CEP
