Judge Mbhele: I took part in educating the community, rights-holders, on the matters of the law β the basic principles of justice. During my time doing articles, I also volunteered to organisations assisting rape victims in Phuthaditjaba, Qwaqwa.

Judge Mbhele: One of the fulfilling experiences was being part of the Street Law Programme at the University of the North. There I had an opportunity to intact with and understand day-to-day problems confronting people in the streets.

Judge Mbhele: I was in various leadership roles, including the Law Student Council at university, and I used to be a guide for our fellow students who were visually impaired.
