Today, I visited one of 50 daycare centres in Kabul supported by UNICEF Afghanistan & EUinAfghanistan.

The center offer nutrition counselling, treatment of malnutrition & cooking demonstration; playroom for #children and a chance for mothers to meet.

Healthcare on wheels!
In February, we supported 16 mobile health and nutrition teams to deliver health services to over 19,000 people in remote, hard to reach communities.

Right from pregnancy, mothers & babies are connected. Healthy mothers = healthy babies. Thanks to Kirk Humanitarian, 100 million tablets of micronutrient supplements are on their way to help 500,000 pregnant women get the nutrients they & their babies need to survive & thrive.

Who else loves going to school? 8-year-old Farzana's favorite subject is Dari language & she wants to be a teacher. Together with Global Partnership for Education World Bank South Asia Asian Development Bank , we are delivering textbooks to public schools, getting children like Farzana set for the new school year!

There’s something for everyone at this child-friendly space set up in a clinic in Kandahar. While their mothers seek medical care at the clinic, these little ones pass the time with toys and new friends!
