Each year over 200 million ever-married or partnered women & girls face violence from their intimate partners.

Poverty increases the risk factors for intimate partner violence, including reduced educational & employment opportunities and increased household stress.

The situation is particularly challenging for women living in poverty, who have limited access to critical time-saving infrastructure like water and electricity.
