Bloody hell! I recently turned 50. Better grab a cane... TBC, nothing wrong with combating age exclusion with a grant like this & yes some will be much older. But the messaging needs work. The over 50s that I know are some of the youngest, smartest and most energetic people.

A lovely day yesterday at the Skullduggery festival at Stowmarket Library with a terrific bunch of crime writers & enough cake to give me instant diabetes. I was given a T-shirt by the terrifyingly efficient librarians behind the event & inducted into the librarian freemasons...

After giving a booky talk in Wrexham yestday, I attempted to play the hurdy-gurdy, a medieval instrument evolved from the organistrum & with a handcrank. In my hands it sounded like a bunch of dying cats... Wrexham is where Ryan Reynolds hangs out. Wonder if he cranked his organ.
