Pte Laurence Silas Broadhurst of the 10th Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He served in France from the 27th September 1915 and by the 7th August 1916 he had been discharged from the army as a result of wounds.

During WW2, Mary worked as a typist at The Empire Hotel, which was taken over for secret war work. She produced punch cards, likely sent to Bletchley Park.
