A huge thank you to everyone who brought in books to support the Books Forever project run by Wood Street Mission. In total, we collected an amazing 774 books, all of which will be invaluable in helping children affected by poverty. Thank you for your donations!

Huge thanks to alumna and barrister Laura Johnson KC for giving insights into her law career to pupils in Years 10-13. As well as outlining her role in her chosen specialist areas and answering lots of questions from pupils, she had some great advice for students.

The History, Economics & Politics Society were pleased to welcome Jane Kerr to speak about her work as a producer for the BBC World Service's broadcast 'Witness History'. Jane explained how her interest in History led to her current role in the podcast. Thanks very much to Jane.

Year 10 and Year 11 pupils attended Book Club at Manchester High School for Girls yesterday along with pupils from Manchester Grammar School to discuss The Great Gatsby. There were 60 pupils in attendance, marking the biggest Book Club turnout on record 📚

Of 55 Senior pupils who entered the Biology Spelling Bee, 22 scored a fantastic 20 out of 20 in their respective age categories and were invited to compete in a live final 🐝
