It didn't look great for a while, but a positive GST was approved in the end at #COP28
Although we didn't get everything we wanted on food systems, it's included in a major UNFCCC outcome for the 1st time. There are enough elements for us to be optimistic - now to implement!

Final reflections from #COP28 . What appears to be the lack of clear reference to food systems in the final text of the GST is a major disappointment, but we still need to be proud of how far we have come over the past couple of years.

🌍Today at COP28 🌱 | The food system is responsible for at least 30% of GHG emissions and 80% of biodiversity loss. Yet, only 4% of climate finance goes to food. WWF brought banks and investors together to try to figure out ways to fix this. #WWF
