Banning LGBTQ+ education will not change the identity of a single child. What it will do is make thousands of LGBTQ kids feel alone and othered. I lived through section 28. It almost killed me. It did kill a close friend of mine. This must be fought.

One of the first operations I ever watched was a Caesarean section on an 11-year-old.

If I had to name a group of people who least want under-13s being taught anything about sex/consent/etc, it’s child abusers. That’s who will benefit most from this. A generation of victims without the tools, information or language to understand & report their abuse.

Absolutely misjudged policy, and just a failed government stoking a culture war. Age appropriate education about relationships and personal space are important early on to lay the groundwork for later life. It’s clearly not graphic information that schools are teaching.
