Does Australia really matter in the world?

Was having a discussion with a Chinese friend born and raised in Shanghai. In terms of free speech he explained that you can say whatever you want, racist or sexist or politically incorrect, as long as you don't say anything negative or critical about the government.

I have a Chinese friend born and raised in Shanghai. I asked him today about the social credit score. He gave me an example, that if you jaywalk across the road on a red light, the government will fine you, say $50. But it won't affect your ability to get a job or credit card.

The reason why I believe multinational corporations/big government push socialism/communism to the masses, is because they benefit from cheap labor. Socialism drives down wages so that everyone makes the same LOW pay.
Cubans receive $30 USD a month salary. Yes you read that right

The one good thing about socialism/communism is that it makes everything cheaper. So if you have an external income source or are already rich, it would be beneficial.
But your average workers gets fucked over by socialism. Look at Cuba, they're paid peanuts, communist bliss
