Our city sends its love today to the family of former World War 2 Army nurse Beatrice Price, who passed away at age 97.

Ms. Price, a Bessemer native, was a true pioneer who served in the Army Nurses Corps in 1944 to 1948, including working with the Tuskegee Airmen.
