Today, I joined Vice President Kamala Harris in Detroit to announce $100 million to spark even more economic opportunities in Motor City and across the U.S.

For Michigan, this means growing the manufacturing workforce with good-paying union jobs to electrify the auto industry with American-made parts.

In Detroit today, I announced more than $100M to help small and medium auto supply companies make critical upgrades to produce EV parts.

We also launched a program to match government-backed loans with private equity capital to make sure auto suppliers stay in America.

Just took an Earth Week spin in an all-electric (union- and American-made!) Class 8 truck, right here outside the White House. We now have the technologies to deliver freight in a way that doesn't pump pollution into the air -- and, folks, it's a great drive.

Today, I announced $331 million to build a new, robust 285-mile transmission line in the West.
