Phil Mendelson & Kenyan McDuffie need to hold a joint hearing on the “Local News Funding Act of 2023” (B25-545) and then hold a vote on it in Council Period 25! Setting aside 0.1% of the District’s annual budget to fund media outlets that report local news is a good investment!
