Josh Butler Specific to the $5000. To be clear - its not new. You cant claim it if you are escaping family violence. It literally takes weeks & weeks for women who apply themselves to get the support. It makes NO difference to perpetrator violence. We apply every other day for it already.
I’m struggling to see how esafety initiatives promoted out of National Cabinet are an answer to lack of services on the ground for #violenceagainstwomen - $5000 would barely cover a bond in Sydney.
