The intense heat in the Rohingya refugee camp has been unbearable for days. For seven years, they've endured tarpaulin shelters, offering little protection. Elderly, children, pregnant, and lactating women suffer greatly. Your prayers offer strength and relief.

The attack on High School No. 1 in Buthidaung,resulting in the deaths of three Rohingya civilians and injuries to many others,underscores the urgent need for peace and security in Rakhine State.Such violence only adds to the suffering of the already vulnerable Rohingya community.

Yesterday, AA attacked Bogannah Taung Ywar Buthidaung, injuring two Rohingya critically. They looted gold, cattle, rice, and forced villagers to flee.

Denying such kinds of abuses is morally wrong. It perpetuates injustice by undermining accountability, silencing victims, hindering efforts for justice, and sustaining a culture of impunity.

On April 28th, the Arakan Army forcibly recruited 110 Rohingya youths from northern Buthidaung to Botgyi Chaung School in Mee Chaung Zay village. Urgent action is needed to ensure their safety.

The atrocities committed by the AA against the Rohingya population in Arakan since Nov 2022 are abhorrent&constitute clear war crimes.Urgent investigation& action are needed from Human Rights Watch,Amnesty International, Fortify Rights&IIMM to hold those responsible accountable&ensure for Rohingya’s safety

8. The curfew hours, announced by the Arakan Army (AA), from 7 pm to 6 am, constitute arbitrary detention. If they aim to protect the Rohingya, they should refrain from using Rohingya villages as battlefields. #RohingyaNeedProtection

7) Another round of genocide is underway. Both the Junta and the Arakan Army (AA) are committing serious crimes against the Rohingya. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) should order additional provisional measures. #RohingyaNeedProtection

6) Everyday, Rohingya on the ground inform us that the Arakan Army (AA) has been abducting innocent Rohingya villagers. Frequently, they also loot and rob their properties. While AA leaders may say one thing, the ground reality tells another story. #RohingyaNeedProtection

5) On April 17, the Arakan Army (AA) abducted 5 Rohingya civilians from Tha Yet Oak village in Maungdaw. Their dead bodies were discovered on April 22. AA has restricted the villagers from retrieving the bodies. #RohingyaNeedProtection

4) Denying the identity of the Rohingya and labelling them as “Bengali” is a serious violation of human rights. If this basic human right isn't respected, the future of the Rohingya are at a significant risk. #RohingyaNeedProtection

3) According to the situation on the ground for the Rohingya, both the Junta & the Arakan Army (AA) are not complying with the provisional measures ordered by the Int'l Court of Justice (ICJ). They both violate International Humanitarian Law (IHL). #RohingyaNeedProtection

2) Both the Myanmar military and the Arakan Army (AA) are using Rohingya villages as battlefields. We can't even count how many Rohingya have been killed in the shelling or died and abducted while running to save their lives. #RohingyaNeedProtection

1) After the Myanmar military forcibly conscripted Rohingya youths, the Arakan Army (AA) also compelled Rohingya youths to join them. Both groups will deploy Rohingya on the battlefield, leading to Rohingyas fighting each other at the frontline? #RohingyaNeedProtection

On April 26th, in Na Kine Taung, Buthidaung, a Rohingya person managed to escape with injuries from the brutality of the Arakan Army. Tragically, three others were not as fortunate and lost their lives. This highlights the harsh reality facing the Rohingya community in Arakan.
