Thanks for writing this up. I kept digging on the salaries. One of Sadiq’s Deputy Mayors was kind enough to let me have the pay bands. Now, these are just TfL employees - Project Detroit’s 116 consultants are where the rest of the cost is. Pay-per-mile is part of their brief.

Great to see Kelsey Park named in the article. The Council is investing over £2 million into the park for a new bridge, to desilt the lakes and for a new community garden (following a successful bid to the jubilee parks fund from the friends Group).

We have selected Gemma Turrell for Shortlands & Park Langley to contest the Shortlands and Park Langley by-election.

Gemma lives in #Shortlands with her husband and their two cats. She works in the healthcare sector.

Aisha Cuthbert has resigned as a Councillor for #Shortlands & #ParkLangley ward. Aisha has been a dedicated Councillor since 2018, serving as the boroughs Loneliness Champion and Executive Member for Environment. We wish her well in her future endeavours.

Saturday afternoon I joined Councillor Cllr Simon Fawthrop on Elmers End green to protest against the ULEZ expansion to #Bromley , alongside small business owners and hard-pressed drivers.

I'll continue to campaign to reverse the expansion and to stop Pay-Per-Mile Road Charging.

A privilege to attend Tuesday's Downing Street reception with other Conservative women MPs and candidates. I also met the Rt Hon Gillian Keegan MP MP, Secretary of State for Education, where I was able to raise the need for a new secondary school around #Penge . #IWD2024

#Beckenham and #Penge is where I live, where I started my business, where my kids went to school, where I met my partner, where I've served as Mayor twice. Later this year residents have a clear choice of me, a proven strong voice for our area or Labour's parachuted insider.
