To researchers writing manuscripts w/ peds data: please define what you mean by children/adols/young people *up front* using specific age ranges. By up front, I mean in Abstract & early in Introduction. Makes things much clearer for readers and people looking to cite your paper.

I'm pleading with research/public health people who present/publish pediatric data (± adult data) to not lump children into arbitrary or huge age groups. I've seen children lumped in <20, even <30y; it is unhelpful. Pls use <18y-or better- World Health Organization (WHO) age bands 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19y🙏🏾
