Fun for us that people who talk like grade school bullies from the 90s are running for office.

Many Indigenous folks & climate scholars have for months demonstrated the connections between settler-colonialism, genocide, climate change in relation to Palestine. Many more for years written about the wider connections of climate change to warfare, imperialism, ecocide. E.g.:

The structure of arguments for the racialized violence of American militarism often take this form: “but if you reject [current imperial war] you must reject [past imperial war].” It’s intended to be so absurd as to elicit mockery, when the answer is “yes, exactly”

Indigenous peoples don’t destroy hundreds-years old native trees, only colonizers do. Colonizers destroy the conditions of life, for both humans & non-human species. That’s what genociders are doing in Palestine. This is what US taxpayers fund. It’s what students are protesting.

Across the US empire, from the Philippines to Hawai'i to California and beyond, the US state melded the yellow peril and the red scare to contain waves of seditious subjects who seemingly incited and warranted state violence. That was race at work. —Moon-Ho Jung

I declined two NYT interviews this week citing their biased reporting on Israel and the student movement. Both reporters were like “yeah, I completely understand.”
