Personally, I’m a “get the Tories out and pressure a Labour government” person. But it is wild to act like the left are cry babies for not feeling welcome in Starmer’s Labour. If you work to push the Left out, it’s a bit much to act outraged they might give their vote elsewhere.

Saw #LaughingBoy , met Patricia Alban spotted Simon Callow in the audience. I’m a mix of - ‘I have no words’ and ‘I have way too many words.’ Just for now, on this train home, I’m moved to want to say to Prof Ryan ‘I’m just so sorry that your beautiful boy died.’

We’re hearing the typical whines ‘if you’re boycotting this, then why aren’t you boycotting X and Y? Hypocrites!’

Who cares what word the Pope may or may not have used. The institution has homophobia baked into its theology, rules, teaching. It’s a profoundly harmful organisation.
