That's another way of saying the only way any of this works is with collective bargaining and an employee-employer relationship.

I have a hard time imagining CAA -- a marketing agent for some of these NIL deals -- allowing their clients (college players) to sign any deal that compelled them to play bowl games.

PRO athletes don't sign contracts compelling them to play in the postseason. Their player associations wouldn't let them. That's why there are no 'specific performance' clauses in those deals. I suppose individual collectives could do deals but this only works if everyone does
